Fun Find Friday
September 5, 2014
Location: Adventureland, Magic Kingdom
Throughout the past few years,
Disney has added several interactive experiences
to the parks for the enjoyment of guests of all
ages. While the experiences began with Kim
Possible's missions around World Showcase, more
interactive adventures like Sorcerers of the
Magic Kingdom, A Pirate's Adventure, and
eventually Kim Possible's replacement, Agent P,
have joined the parks as well.
The most recent of all these experiences is A
Pirate's Adventure - Treasures of the Seven Seas. The interactive
adventure takes guests through five different pirate quests in
Adventureland while collecting treasure for Captain Jack Sparrow
along the way. It's a great game that doesn't require guests to
stand in a line, but instead to simply go out and explore! During
one of the missions, guests make their way to a little nook near the
Pirates of the Caribbean store. It is here where we will be
discovering our Fun Find today!
While the cabinet found in the picture above seems
very congested, there is, of course, more to this cabinet than meets
the eye. If you look in the bottom left corner of the cabinet (near
the statue seen in the picture), you will find a nod to all the
interactive experiences found throughout the Walt Disney World
Resort that made their debut before A Pirate's Adventure.
As seen in the picture below, you can see that here
guests can find an emblem featuring the Kim Possible "KP" sign which
would be found on the phone return spot, a medal from Sorcerers of
the Magic Kingdom, and a platypus skull with a fedora on top, a
subtle nod to Perry the Platypus in his Agent P form!
Not a bad, although slightly disturbing, nod to all
other interactive experiences found throughout Walt Disney World!
