Location: Africa, Disney's Animal Kingdom
Disney's Animal Kingdom is the one park that pays
tribute to its opening day the most and rightfully so! When your
entire park revolves around conservation and your park opens on
Earth Day, it's a pretty important day to pay tribute to. Today's
tribute can be found at the newly named Gorilla Falls Exploration
Trail (formerly Pangani Forest Exploration Trail).
At the entrance of the trail, guests can earn a
Wilderness Explorer Badge where they use a radio from radio station
ZU2298. The ZU (zoo) refers to Disney's Animal Kingdom often being
referred to as a variation of a zoo, while the 2298 refers to the
park's opening day (April 22, 1998)!
