The Swiss Family Treehouse offers some of the most
unique views within the Magic Kingdom while also providing a great
open house for fans of the 1960 film. While guests walk through the
house, several items stand out, but there is one item that stands
out above the rest.
As we all know, Walt Disney was one of the most
creative people to ever walk this earth, but at the same time, he
always made sure his family was put first. In addition to that, Walt
loved to incorporate music into his life on a daily basis. Beginning
with the 1928 film, Steamboat Willie to the songs in classic
attractions like "it's a small world" and The Enchanted Tiki Room to
hit songs in Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, and muc more. Walt just simply
loved music.
So it comes as no surprise that Walt would
incorporate music into his personal life as well. Walt would often
have visitors over to ride the Carolwood Pacific Railroad in the
backyard, and afterwards, his visitors would come inside as they
would sing various songs from Walt's films or personal favorites
that were popular in mainstream media.
Eventually, Walt wanted to begin practicing a new
talent in order to entertain his visitors. He sent a few of his
sound technicians to various music shops in the L.A. area in order
to bring him an instrument that would delight his family and
friends. The staff returned with an organ. And not just any organ:

That's right! The very organ found inside of the
Swiss Family Treehouse is the very same that once sat in the living
room of the Disney household. That's how I would end this article if
it wasn't April Fool's Day, but it is and this entire article was
made up. In reality, this is just an organ.
