Experiencing Carsland by Joey Bean
As a Cast Member you sometimes get great benefits
and perks. One of the greatest I've had so far was to ride Luigi's
Flying Tires, the new ride in Carsland, before it opened to the
public. On Saturday, May 5th, I was invited, along with
my brother and his family, to go to Carsland to test out this very
fun ride. Luigi's Tires was started in Italy before Luigi moved to
Fun Fact: Luigi's Tires is a reincarnation of the
Flying Saucers which was in Tomorrowland at Disneyland from 1961
through 1966! Trivia: What replaced the original Flying Saucers?
As you enter the queue you go through the tire shop.
Looking around you will notice the different tires throughout the
shop. If you pay close attention, you will notice that they are all
named after pasta noodles! I think my favorite was fettuccini. There
were two of those: regular and Alfredo! You can only guess what the
Alfredo Fettuccini tires were. This experience was so much fun and I
can't wait to have another experience, which I hope happens soon!
