Darth Vader

Darth Vader

In case you missed it the Walt Disney Company made a huge purchase last year: Lucasfilm Ltd. which means they now own almost all of the rights to everything Star Wars, not to mention Indiana Jones. So this week, in my first Star Wars themed week, I will be talking about Darth Vader, aka Anakin Skywalker. He can be found in the Star Wars Saga (Episodes 1-6), the television show 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars,' and I can also see Disney creating more cartoons based off of the Star Wars universe. He can also be found in video games such as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Lego Star Wars games, Soul Calibur IV, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, and many other Star Wars related games. In other merchandise he can be found in clothing, toys, books, pins, Disney art, Legos, posters, and much more.

He was born on Tatooine, and has had a number of empire bases, with the most notably being the Death Star. His allies are Boba Fett, Darth Sidious, Jabba the Hutt, the Empire, the Stormtroopers, and the Clonetroopers. His enemies include Han Solo, Yoda, the Rebel Alliance, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, the Jedi, R2-D2, and C3PO.

 Darth Vader Comic Book

Vader wears an all black costume which includes robotic arms and legs, a helmet that helps him breathe, and a device on his chest that keeps him alive. He is extremely dark, twisted, and people fear him.

He has been voiced by many people over the years such as Matt Sloan, James Earl Jones, and Scott Lawerence.

Darth Vader and Jedi Training Academy

Darth Vader can be found in Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, he can also be seen frequently during Star Wars Weekend at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and he can be found in the Jedi Training Academy.

I am really excited to see where Disney can bring the franchise to; Episode 7 will hit theaters sometime in 2015.
