Lonesome Ghosts

Lonesome Ghosts

The Lonesome Ghosts can be seen in the animated film, 'Mickey's House of Villains' along with their original appearance in the 1937 Walt Disney animated short, 'Lonesome Ghosts.' They also made appearances in the television show, House of Mouse. They can be found in video games such as Epic Mickey, Mickey Mania, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, and The Great Circus Mystery starring Mickey and Minnie. In other merchandise they can be found in vinylmations, pins, Disney art, toys, clothing, and books.

They live in Lonesome Manor, our should I say 'haunt' Lonesome Manor. There friends include Blots, Mad Doctor, Phantom Blot, and the rest of the evil Disney villains. Their enemies include Goofy, Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Daisy, Pluto, and the rest of the good Disney characters.

Lonesome Ghosts

*FUN FACT* The Lonesome Ghosts names are Moss, Grubb, Boo, and Jasper.

They vary in weight and they are greenish/blue in color. They have bright pink noses, large eyes, and big mouths. They wear green body suits, with green parkas that buttons in the front in addition to their green top hats. They are extremely rude, jokesters, and they are also adventurous.

One of the Lonesome Ghosts were voiced by Billy Bletcher. It is rumored that Walt Disney, Pinto Colvig, and Clarence Nash ended up voicing the other three ghosts. Many animators worked on the Lonesome Ghosts such as Milt Kahl, Art Babbitt, Ed Love, Marvin Woodward, Rex Cox, Dick Huemer, Isadore Klein, and Clyde Geronimi.

The Lonesome Ghosts can only be found in reference form in Disney parks around the world. It was one of my favorite animated shorts created by the Walt Disney Company. I would love to see Disney make them meet and greet characters during the Halloween months.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!
