She is from Philadelphia, PA in 'Boy Meets World' and lives in Manhattan, NY in 'Girl Meets World.' She is a lawyer, and also owns the local bakery, called Topanga's. She comes from a small family which includes her parents (Rhiannon and Jedidiah) and her sister (Nebula). She makes up for the small family by being part of Cory's family which includes her in-laws (Alan and Amy), brother in laws (Josh and Eric), sister in law (Morgan), husband (Cory), daughter (Riley), and son (Auggie). Other people she can count on when needed include Maya Hart, Lucas Friar, Farkle Minkus, Shawn Hunter, Rachel McGuire, Trini Martin, Katy Hart, Angela Moore, Jack Hunter, and Mr. Feeny. Her enemies include Mr. Stuart, Judy and Ava Morgenstern, her father at times, Stuart Minkus in 'Boy Meets World,' and anyone that tries hurting her family.

Topanga has long brown hair with blonde highlights and has hazel eyes. Being a lawyer she usually dresses in business suits or very dressy clothing. In 'Boy Meets World' she dressed very nerdy and studious. She is extremely kind, caring, and very intelligent. She will go out of her way to help out people in need. She is a kind-hearted woman, and a very good mother to Riley and Auggie.

She has been played by Danielle Fishel since 'Boy Meets World' first aired back in 1993 through its ending in 2000. 'Girl Meets World' is currently in its second season.

Topanga cannot be found in Disney parks around the world, although you can find Disney park references in the 'Boy Meets World' episode where they go to Walt Disney World.
