Dinoland, USA opened with Disney's Animal Kingdom in
1998, but it had a much different look to it.
When the land first premiered the attractions present were
Countdown to Extinction (now known as DINOSAUR), Cretaceous
Trail, and The Boneyard.
As Dinoland, USA grew, so did the amazing storyline that went along with
it. As the story goes, in 1947 a man stumbled across a
dinosaur bone in the area and soon enough everyone developed
Dino-fever. With this storyline in place, Disney made sure
to include every portion of the land into this storyline.
Restaurantosarus is the home of the students studying
paleontology in the area, the Boneyard is the actual dig
site where the original dinosaur bones were found, Dinosaur
is home to the Dino Institute, while Chester and Hester's
area is an area created by some locals looking for a quick
buck.
Throughout Dinoland, USA you can see the in depth storyline
practically everywhere you look!
The current attractions in Dinoland, USA are Dinosaur, The
Boneyard, Primeval Whirl, TriceraTop Spin, and Finding Nemo:
The Musical.
Fun Facts: Finding Nemo: The Musical is
included in Dinoland, USA on most park maps and guide books,
but in reality its home is the Theatre in the Wild. The
Theatre in the Wild actually does not belong to a specific
land, but to make the attraction easier to find, we have
included it in Dinoland, USA on this site as well.
Touring Tips: Dinosaur is one of the most
popular attractions in Disney's Animal Kingdom so you may
want to consider getting a Fastpass for the attraction.
