The Seas with Nemo and Friends
Return to Future World West Attractions

The Story: Welcome to Coral Coves! The nicest
little beach on this side of the EAC (that's East Australian
Current). As you wind through the queue (the beach), you'll soon
find yourself underwater swimming among the fishes. Board a
Clamobile and join Marlin and Dory as they begin their search
for Nemo who has gotten lost again!
Along the way guests will pass by Mr. Ray's school of fish as
the class joins in the search, guests then pass a jellyfish
forest, Bruce and his gang, Crush and Squirt in the EAC, and a
whole lot more! Thankfully, we eventually do find Nemo and pass
by the true star of the attraction. We then see Nemo, Marlin,
Dory, and the rest of the cast of fish as they sing, "In the Big
Blue World" while swimming amongst actual fish in the aquarium!

Height Restriction: N/A
Attraction Length: 5 minutes
Fastpass? None
The History: Prior to The Seas with Nemo and
Friends the pavilion was known as The Living Seas. The pavilion
opened on January 15, 1986 after four years of being planned.
The original attraction focused around a preshow where "it
rained, and it rained, and it rained." Guests would then board
Hydrolators which would transport guests below the sea where
they would board their Seacab and take a ride through a glass
chamber that offered amazing views of the aquarium.
In 2001 the attraction closed down and guests were only allowed
to head to Sea Base, the area after the attraction, to explore
the aquarium. The area remained like this until 2003 when the
area began to be rethemed around the 2003 hit Disney/Pixar film,
Finding Nemo.
Turtle Talk with Crush would open the following year in November
of 2004 and in 2005 The Seas with Nemo and Friends completed its
transformation to the pavilion we all know and love today.
The attraction portion of the attraction, The
Seas with Nemo and Friends, opened on August 21,
2005.

Fun Facts: While in line pay close attention to
the signs all around the area. Here you can discover more about
Coral Coves and even some references to Nemo! You can
learn
more here!
Just after you go "under water" in the line,
there is an interactive game upon one of the
walls. Here you can find the school of fish from
the film that helped Marlin and Dory find ways
to the EAC. There are several different shapes
they will go through including the one below. Do
you know what image it is?
The song "The Big Blue World" wasn't always part
of the current attraction. However, when
Imagineers heard the song for Finding Nemo - The
Musical from Disney's Animal Kingdom they loved
it and decided to include it into the finale of
the attraction!
Location: The Seas with Nemo and Friends.
Touring Tips: The attraction usually has little
to no wait, especially later in the day.
