The Phantom Blot

The Phantom Blot is one of the first villains that tormented Mickey Mouse. The two have had numerous battles over the years. He has been seen in many different things including TV shows such as 'Mickey Mouse Works,' 'House of Mouse,' and 'DuckTales.' Also after a long absence he is back and plays a huge part in the video game, Epic Mickey. The Phantom Blot can be mainly found in comic books and old cartoon shorts. More recently he can be found in a 'DuckTales' and 'Darkwing Duck' intertwined comic book called 'Dangerous Currency.' He can be found in other rare merchandise like toys, clothes, buttons/pins, and Disney art.

It is unclear where the Phantom Blot has lived but in 'Epic Mickey' he makes his residency in Wasteland and wants to be ruler of it. The only known relative of the Phantom Blot is his daughter Phantom Brat. Phantom Blot has many allies on his side including Madam Mim, Beagle Boys, The Mad Doctor, Magica De Spell, and the rest of the evil Disney villains. His enemies include Mickey Mouse and the rest of the fab five, Darkwing Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and the rest of the forces of good.

Phantom Blot is a very dark and mysterious figure, he wears a dark cloak and the only thing you can see on him are his smile and his eyes which vary from white, yellow, and red depending on which comic book, TV show, or video game it is. His black hood hides his secret identity, which was revealed at one point: he resembles a evil faced goofy with a moustache. Phantom Blot has been one of Mickey's most challenging rivals of all time.

He has been voiced by Frank Welker, and also John O'Hurley. He was animated by the group of Merrill De Maris, Ted Thwaites, Bill Wright, and Floyd Gottfredson.

I have researched to see if Phantom Blot has ever been in the theme parks but found nothing. I would love to see him in the parks, even if it is just during Halloween time since I am a huge fan of all the Disney villains. He is a fantastic yet forgotten character.

Flintheart Glomgold

Flintheart Glomgold

Flintheart Glomgold is the evil duck from the wonderful world created by Carl Barks. He can be found in the television show 'DuckTales,' and he also had a cameo in 'Darkwing Duck.' In video games he can be found in DuckTales, DuckTales Remastered, DuckTales 2, and DuckTales: The Quest for Gold. In other merchandise he can be found in toys, books, pins, Disney art, and other various merchandise.

He has lived in a few places over the years such as Duckburg and South Africa. His enemies include Launchpad McQuack, Huey, Donald Duck, Louie, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Gyro Gearloose, and the rest of the good Disney characters.

Ducktales

Flintheart is a very old duck. He is skinny and has white and gray feathers. He has worn many different outfits over the years but the most common being a kilt, and a blue coat (sometimes green), a Scottish hat, and glasses. He has a very thick Scottish accent, and uses a cane while he walks.

He has been voiced by many people over the years such as Brian George, Hal Smith, and Roger Carel. He was created by the legendary Carl Barks.

Glomgold pin

Flintheart Glomgold can't currently be found in Disney theme parks. When DuckTales was popular I remember seeing photos around the parks but he hasn't been seen since. It would be really good to see Disney bring this characters to the parks and even in television shows or other things.

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins is the lead character in the 1964 classic Walt Disney film, "Mary Poppins." The East wind blew Mary Poppins to Number Seventeen Cherry Tree Lane in London, England.
Mary Poppins doesn't have a family. I believe Bert is as close to a family member that she has. She lives for helping the children of the world that are in need of help. Bert, Jane and Michael join her on her adventure in the movie.
On a side note, I also recommend everyone reading the fantastic P.L. Travers books about Mary Poppins. There are 8 books in the series: Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins Comes Back, Mary Poppins Opens the Door, Mary Poppins in the Park, Mary Poppins from A-Z, Mary Poppins in the Kitchen, Mary Poppins in Cherry Tree Lane, and Mary Poppins and the House Next Door.
Mary Poppins wears many outfits in the film and in the parks. Her primary outfit is a dark blue dress jacket, and a long dark blue skirt with a white and yellow dress shirt and red bow. With it she wears a Black hat with flowers on it, white gloves and black shoes. Her second outfit is the white and yellow dress shirt with a red bow, long dark blue skirt and a white apron. Her third outfit is a beautiful white dress with red and pink sequences all over and a white hat that has flowers on it with a white and olive green umbrella and white and pink boots.
Mary Poppins is played by one of the greatest actresses of all time in my opinion Dame Julie Andrews.
You can find Mary Poppins everyday at Walt Disney World at the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot. She can occasionally be found at the Magic of Animation building at Hollywood Studios, and at Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in the Magic Kingdom. Mary Poppins can also be seen on Broadway. The play started at West End in 2004 and eventually opened on Broadway in 2006. You can learn all about Mary Poppins in a fantastic episode of the W.E.D.nesday Show as in Episode 56 Brent talks about all things Mary Poppins!

Monterey Jack

Monterey Jack

Monterey Jack is the rough and tough mouse from the hit Disney Afternoon show, 'Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers.' He will also be seen in the upcoming 'Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers' film coming to theaters in 2016. He can also be seen in video games including Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers 2, and Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers: The Adventure in Nimnul's Castle. Finally in other merchandise he can be seen in comic books, toys, clothing, Disney art, vinylmations, and pins.

He lives with the rest of the Rescue Rangers in a tree in the City Park. He can always count on his friends Dale, Gadget, Zipper, Chip, and the rest of the good Disney characters. His enemies include Professor Norton Nimnul, Fat Cat, and the rest of the evil Disney villains.

Monterey Jack

Monterey Jack is an overweight brown mouse. He has green eyes, large ears, a big brown nose, red hair, large teeth, and a big bushy red mustache. His outfit consists of a blue turtleneck, a brown trench coat, a brown bomber hat, and a pair of goggles. His favorite thing in the would is cheese, which has gotten him into a heap of trouble over the years. He is very tough, sassy at times, but he can also be a big chicken as well.

He has been voiced by a few people over the years including the extremely talented Jim Cummings (who has voiced well over 100 Disney characters and counting) and Peter Cullen.

Monterey Jack

Monterey Jack and the rest of the Rescue Rangers can't be found in Disney theme parks anymore. You could have found them back when the Disney Afternoon was in its prime. It would be really great to see Disney bring back the Disney Afternoon and integrate these old school cartoon characters into the parks in some shape or form. I think the Disney Afternoon could be as popular now as it was back then.

Beagle Boys

So for my Who's Who article this week I decided to do a group article, because this group of misguided criminals have to be introduced as a group. The Beagle Boys can be found in movies (Mickey, Donald and Goofy: The Three Musketeers, and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas), video games (DuckTales, and Donald Duck: Going Quackers), TV shows (DuckTales, and cameos in Darkwing Duck, Quack Pack, and Bonkers), comic books and other merchandise.

The Beagle Boys are from Duckburg, and find themselves in jail after every failed attempt at a heist and always escape from the pen (I mean, who wouldn't want a crowbar, machine gun, chainsaw, or hand grenade cake from Ma Beagle). There are so many Beagle Boys they could make up there own small town. Tons of Beagle Boys and Girls have made appearances in the DuckTales series or comic books.

The Beagle Boys that are seen most often are Babyface, Bigtime, Bouncer, BeBop, Baggy, Burger and Bankjob. They also have Ma Beagle, Magica De Spell, Flintheart Glomgold and others as close allies. Their enemies are Scrooge McDuck, Launchpad McQuack, Gizmoduck and others.

The Beagle Boys all have the same outfits with the exception of their prison numbers. They all wear red long sleeve shirts, blue pants, brown shoes, burglar masks, prison number tags on their chests, and green hats in DuckTales (and blue hats in the comic books) . Even their dog Ottoperotto has the same outfit.

The Beagle Boys were created by Carl Barks, and they are voiced by the group of Terry McGovern, Brian Cummings, Chuck McCann, Frank Welker and Peter Cullen.

In my personal opinion one of the biggest mistakes Disney has made was taking DuckTales off the air. I believe it's the greatest show Disney has every created. I believe all of the Disney Afternoon shows should be back on air. I have talked about this in the past, but a vintage Disney Channel would be so amazing! Maybe it is time to start a petition to get DuckTales back on the air!

After looking for this answer for quite a while it doesn't look like the Beagle Boys can be found in Disney parks anymore. Looks like they are like Scrooge McDuck: a very, very rare find.

Her enemies include The Phantom Blot, Pete, Mortimer Mouse, Sylvester Shyster, and the rest of the Disney villains.

Minnie has worn countless outfits over the years, but her most common outfit is her dresses that vary in colors and have white polka dots on them, a bow in her hair, and high heels which vary in color for every outfit she wears. She has a wonderful heart and she is smart, happy, outgoing and very friendly.

*FUN FACT* Minnie's real name is Minerva Mouse.

Darkwing Duck
Darkwing Duck is the main character in the old school Disney Channel show: Darkwing Duck. He is from the town of Saint Canard, and his true identity is Drake Mallard. He is a crime fighter, and fights the likes of Megavolt, Dr. Reginald Bushroot, The Liquidator, Quackerjack, Negaduck, Tuskernini, Taurus Bulba, Professor Moliarty, and Splatter Phoenix.
Drake Mallard has a 9 year old adopted daughter named Gosalyn, and they live next door to the very strange Muddlefoots family. Darkwing Duck has a sidekick, a wonderful character who we talked about on the first Who's Who Wednesday, named Launchpad McQuack.
Darkwing Duck/Drake Mallard have a very simple wardrobe. Drake Mallard almost always wears a pink long sleeve shirt with a green sweater vest with a sort of argyle look to it. Darkwing Duck on the other hand has a very dark hero look to him; he wears a blue turtleneck with a purple jacket over it and a purple cape, with a really sweet looking purple crime fighting hat.
Darkwing Duck has a classic quote that he also says when arriving to apprehend a criminal, and that is 'I am the terror that flaps in the night' and then he adds a different line to it every time, some of my favorites are 'I am the termite that devours your floorboards," 'I am the raspberry seed you can't floss out,' 'I am the itch you cannot reach,' 'I am the hairball the clogs your drains,' 'I am the smoke that smokes smoked oysters,' 'I am the ten dollar service charge on all returned checks,' and ' I am the low ratings that cancel your program.'
Darkwing Duck/Drake Mallard are voiced by Jim Cummings who has voiced in television shows and movies such as 101 Dalmatians, Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Aladdin, The book of Pooh, Bonkers, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Gargoyles, Goof Troop, House of Mouse, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Marsupilami, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The new adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Quack Pack, and Talespin. While movies were Aladdin 2 and 3, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Brother Bear 2, The Fox and the Hound 2, A Goofy Movie, Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Jungle Book 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, The Lion King, The Lion King 2, The Lion King 1 1/2, The Little Mermaid 3, various Mickey Christmas movies, Mulan, various Pooh movies, Pocahontas 1 and 2, The Princess and the Frog, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure. To say the least he is a Disney Legend.
Darkwing Duck has been retired as a meet and greet character but can be seen of very rare special occasions, hopefully with the comic book series taking off again by Boom Studios, we will see more of Darkwing Duck in the future.

Dumbo

It's From Screen To Theme Cruise Week, and this week we are going to be talking about the character on the back of the Disney Fantasy: Dumbo! Dumbo is the fantastic lead character in Walt Disney's 1941 film 'Dumbo.' In films he can be found in 'Dumbo,' and 'Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse.' In addition to that, he has cameos in 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit,' 'The Great Mouse Detective,' and 'The Lion King 1 '.' In television, he can be found in 'House of Mouse,' 'Mickey Mouse Club,' and 'Dumbo's Circus.' He can also be found in the Kingdom Hearts series, Mickey Mousecapade, Kinect Disneyland Adventures, and Disney's Villains Revenge. Finally he can be found in other merchandise such as toys, clothing, books, pins, and many other things.

Dumbo lives at the Circus with his mother Mrs. Jumbo. The story of Dumbo is extremely sad. Everyone, humans and elephants, make fun of Dumbo because of his big ears. I could really relate to this movie when I was little because I was teased for having large ears. Dumbo has wonderful friends that help him including Timothy Mouse, Casey Jr., Mr. Stork, and the Crows. His enemies include the evil Ringmaster and The Pink Elephants in his hallucinations.

He is a baby elephant with massive ears. He wears a red and yellow collar sash and a yellow hat. Also in order to fly he holds a black feather with his trunk. He is extremely shy, but trustworthy and friendly once he opens up.

*FUN FACT* Dumbo is the only main character in any Disney film that doesn't speak.

He was animated by Vladimir Tytla. Also in Dumbo's Circus he was voiced by Katie Leigh. I highly recommend buying the Dumbo 70th Anniversary DVD Bluray that was recently released. It has some amazing special features on the DVD.

Dumbo can be found in Disney parks around the world. He can be seen in Fantasmic!, Flights of Fantasy Parade, Main Street Electrical Parade, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant, which will become Dueling Dumbo's with an interactive queue after the Fantasyland Expansion is complete at Walt Disney World. Finally Dumbo will have tie ins on the new Disney Fantasy cruise ship: he will be seen on the back of the ship with Timothy Mouse.

The Hatbox Ghost

Hatbox Ghost

The Hatbox Ghost is one of the rarest, yet most iconic and popular, characters in any Disney park. I heard some rumors that in the 'Haunted Mansion' film starring Eddie Murphy there are references that can be found in the film of The Hatbox Ghost but I have yet to find any. In 2010 at Comic Con, director Guillermo del Toro announced he would be making a new Haunted Mansion film, which The Hatbox Ghost would play a large role in the film. No release date has been given yet. He can be found in the television show 'House of Mouse.' In other merchandise he can be found in toys, clothing, Disney art, vinylmations, books, and pins.

He makes his home at The Haunted Mansion, with the rest of the 998 happy haunts. It isn't really known if he is a tortured soul, or a happy haunt. A lot of people believe he is one of the beheaded husbands of Constance Hatchaway. It also isn't known if he has any enemies besides 'Captain Gracey' in the comics, but maybe after the Guillermo del Toro film it will shed some light on the backstory of this wonderful character.

Hatbox Ghost

*FUN FACT* He can also be found in one of my favorite Disney albums, The Story and Song From The Haunted Mansion. The narrator says 'Another ghostly manifestation appeared and blocked their way. He was a cloaked figure with an evil grinning face; a hat box hung from his hand. With each beat of his bride's heart, his head disappeared from his body and appeared in the hat box.'

The Hatbox Ghost's outfit consists of pants, jacket, shoes, overcoat, top hat, a hat box, and a cane. He has beady eyeballs, shoulder length hair, and a skeleton body.

Hatbox Ghost

He was created by Marc Davis, Yale Gracey, and Blaine Gibson.

*FUN FACT* SIG comics released a 7 part Haunted Mansion comic between 2005 and 2007. In the story The Hatbox Ghost goes by the name Randall Pace and gets beheaded by Captain Gracey. It is almost impossible to find the full set of these comics now. It will be interesting to see if he will be featured in the new Marvel Haunted Mansion comic being released in March.

Hatbox Ghost

The Hatbox Ghost can be found at Disneyland in the Haunted Mansion attraction, and also during Haunted Mansion Holiday. I can see Disney bringing this character in more things in the future due to his popularity and with him having a large role in the upcoming 'Haunted Mansion' film.

Tony dresses very professionally. Tony has a chest repulsor transmitter, which keeps him alive. He was injured in a blast and that device keeps the shrapnel out of his heart. While as Iron Man he has had many different variations of armored suits over the years, but his most common is red/maroon and yellow/gold as seen in the photo below.

He was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Don Heck. He was played by Robert Downey, Jr. in the films. In the animated cartoons he has been played by Adrian Pasdar, Eric Loomis, Tom Kenny, Adrian Petriw, and Robert Hays.

*FUN FACT* Tony Stark has built over 40 types of armor over the years.

Iron Man cannot be found in any Disney theme parks at this point in time. Although there are rumors that Marvel characters will be spotted in Disney parks in the very near future, which is great news in my opinion.

 Davy Jones

Davy Jones is the captain of the Flying Dutchman in two of the four 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies. He can be found in the films 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.' He can also be found in the video games Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game, and Disney INFINITY. In other merchandise he can be found in clothing, pins, toys, books, Disney art, and vinylmations.

He makes his home in Davy Jones Locker. He can count on his crew and the rest of the evil Disney villains when he is in trouble. His enemies include Barbossa, Will Turner, Calypso, Captain Jack Sparrow, Bootstrap Bill, Elizabeth Swan, and the rest of the good Disney characters.

Davy Jones

Davy Jones, who was once human, was cursed along with his crew by his former love, Calypso. He has a crab leg, craw claw, and a octopus finger. He also has tentacles for a beard, and wears traditional pirate clothing, and a hat that has coral growing on them. He is extremely cruel, calculating, and he has a very short temper.

He has been voiced by a few people over the years such as Robin Atkin Downes and Bill Nighy. He was played by Bill Nighy in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.'

 Davy Jones

Davy Jones can be seen in Disney parks around the world. He could be seen in The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean, and World of Color. This is one of the most interesting characters in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. It would be great to see him used more in the parks, and also having more merchandise with him on it.

Jack Sparrow
Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain of the Black Pearl, has become an Icon: the girls love him and the guys want to be him. He has been in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and he will soon be on the big screen again for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides which comes to theaters on May 20th, 2011. He can also be found in the video game Kingdom Hearts 2, and has his own book series called Pirates of the Caribbean: Jack Sparrow. These consist of 12 books total aimed at young readers, but I have read these and really enjoyed them.
Sparrow was born at sea, but makes port quite frequently in Tortuga, and has been marooned on a certain deserted island on a few occasions. Jack Sparrow's father is Captain Teague; he also has his right hand man Mr. Gibbs, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan/Turner.
Captain Jack Sparrow has a very common pirate outfit, he has long hair with dreadlocks that have beads in them, a braided goatee with beads, a red bandana, a leather pirate hat, a white long sleeve ruffled shirt, navy blue vest, a red and white sash loop, a brown belt, a over the shoulder belt, brown pants, brown boots, a compass that points to the thing you want the most, a sword, a pistol, and rings on his fingers. He also wears a coat at times in the films.
Jack Sparrow was played by Johnny Depp and he modeled his character after Keith Richards. Sparrow is voiced by James Arnold Taylor in Kingdom Hearts 2 because Johnny Depp was filming a pirate's movie when they needed to do a voice over in the game.
Captain Jack Sparrow can be found in Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney Parks around the world. He also does a show at Disney World daily outside of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. So make sure you stop by and visit Captain Jack. Savvy!
